wame
WAME is a project by the Fondazione AEM and the Florence School of Regulation which strives to contribute to a world where lack of access to energy is no longer a hindrance to human and economic development
WAME aims to share knowledge on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal number 7, raise awareness of its importance, and monitor progress toward reducing the number of people without access to reliable, sustainable and modern energy, at affordable prices.
WAME focuses on increasing understanding, inspire action and reinforce a sense of hope in the future.
Marco Garofalo
He works as photo reporter on social and cultural issues, mainly between Milan and the African continent. He also works on architecture and personal researches. Author of Energy Portraits along with Matteo Leonardi, for many years the themes of energy and environment have been at the centre of his objective. www.marcogarofalo.com
Matteo Leonardi
Matteo Leonardi is co-author of Energy Portraits along with Marco Garofalo. He is an international consultant in the development of energy infrastructures with particular reference to renewable sources, distributed generation, access technologies and energy development policies in Europe and Africa, where he has been a long-term resident for development projects.
Pia Løvengreen Alessi
Pia Løvengreen is "Advisor on Universal Access to Modern Energy" at the Florence School of Regulation (Global), and has managed numerous development projects in India and the Democratic Republic of Congo (1999-2007). She has worked in the energy and regulation sector (2008-2015) and in the energy access sector (2015- ongoing).
PIPPO RANCI
Pippo Ranci is "Principal Advisor on Energy" at the Florence School of Regulation and was Professor of Economic Policy at the Catholic University of Milan (1973-2004) and President of the Authority for Energy (1996-2003).
Federico Vandone Dell’Acqua
Federico is a photographer, video maker and production specialist based in Milan, Italy. He has a background in biology and is currently involved in documentary photography and film making. For EnergyPortraits he works for communication and IT management.
